Returning to a Full Life—Bogdan’s Story

There are people who, after everything they’ve been through, dream only of peace and quiet. And then there are those who, having endured the darkest trials, find the strength to stand up for Ukraine once again.
Today we had the opportunity to speak with one of our defenders who has returned from Russian captivity. Together with his wife, he is now recovering at the beautiful “TuStan” Hotel in Skhidnytsia, thanks to the Charity Fund “With an Angel on a Shoulder”.
What moves us most is not only what he survived, but what he preserved within himself. There is no bitterness in his words—only calm, gratitude for the chance to be close to his beloved wife, to regain strength, and a firm decision to return to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after recovery.
This is what true strength looks like: not the kind that has never known pain, but the kind that passes through pain and refuses to let it win.
It is a great honor for us to be a small part of this healing journey. Sometimes just a few days of quiet, care, nature, and love become the place where a person finds the strength to live, to love, and to keep fighting.
