Half a year ago, Oleksandr returned from Russian captivity.
After many long years of imprisonment, he is learning to live again—to breathe freely, to feel what freedom truly means. The road to recovery is not easy, but every day spent close to his loved ones, among the Ukrainian mountains and people who genuinely care, helps him regain strength.
Our Charity Fund “With an Angel on the Shoulder” is honored to gift Oleksandr a rehabilitation getaway in Skhidnytsia, at the welcoming TuStan Hotel.
And there is already a first small—but deeply symbolic—victory: together with his brothers-in-arms, he climbed the highest peak of the Lviv region—Mount Pikui.
This is not just a hike.
It is a step back to life.
A step toward inner freedom.
A step toward believing in his own strength.
We sincerely rejoice in every smile of our defenders, every new achievement, every moment when—after everything they have been through—they can once again feel the beauty of the Ukrainian Carpathians, the power of nature, and the warmth of human hearts.
Thank you to everyone who supports our mission. It is thanks to you that we can help those who have paid an extraordinarily high price for our freedom.
