Pilgrimage ‘St. Jacob’s Way’ is a charitable initiative of Mykola Ishchuk and the Charitable Organization ‘With an Angel on a Shoulder’.

Mykola Ishchuk, a Ukrainian and a member of the Lviv Regional Council, set out on a bicycle from the city of Lviv to ride through the famous pilgrimage route ‘St. Jacob’s Way’. The distance from Ukraine to the St. Jacob’s tomb in Santiago de Compostela in Spain is more than 4,000 kilometers. The pilgrim will pass through five countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, France.
Mykola Ishchuk is convinced, that ‘Europe is our common home – we are all very close to each other. To get to Europe, you need to pass through Ukraine, and this turned out to be an unrealistic task for Russia thanks to our will to live and thanks to the help of free people of the free World, including Europe. Ukraine is now at war. Every Ukrainian, by his or her faith and actions, brings the victory of good over evil closer today. Victory for the sake of a peaceful future in Europe and in the whole world is our current common task.’

Mykola Ishchuk seeks to draw more attention to the evil that Russia carries, which Ukrainians have already felt. And also to call people to charity in prayer on the pilgrim’s route. Voluntary donations will be collected along the route for the treatment, rehabilitation, prosthetics and restoration of wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are being treated at the Lviv Regional Hospital of War Veterans.
Pilgrim’s journey by bicycle is implemented in partnership with the Charitable Foundation ‘With an Angel on a Shoulder’ and the Lviv Hospital of War Veterans, under the patronage of the Lviv Regional Council and the Lviv Regional Military Administration
Be with Ukraine by faith and action!
